RAPID RECAP W7 Pioneer League SmashMouth NFL

This week's big winners were Peyton Manning and GLENN ARONOW (yes, THAT Glenn, the reigning SmashMouth NHL champ). Peyton apparently threw 510 passes in one game, good for well over 3,000 fantasy points, both tearing up the record books. Pretty tough to beat. Wait... 510 career TD passes? Ah, never mind.

But speaking of records, the real story is GLENN anyway, who pulls off not only the double double of Weekly Smash (The Maidzo) with a 295-145 obliteration of MICHAEL WILLIAMS but also serves up a big fat blank sandwich with IND CB Vontae Davis (27 pts) shutting down sub CIN WR Brandon Tate (0 pts) to garner Unique Pick and bank some more cash. Oh and the record? Well, his +150 margin of victory breaks JEFF NIGRO's +149 set Week 1 of last season vs. -- one guess -- MICHAEL WILLIAMS. Ouch, MIKE, what gives? Fortunately for Mike, GLENN did not break the all-time high score record, as a deep search into the SmashMouth archives shows RICHARD BROWNE hanging on with his 298 point (vs 173) destruction of the long lost Ken Calitri in Week 4 of the inaugural 2012 Pioneer League season.

Also note, the Pioneer League schedule maker invokes the "LeBron James Rule" in Week 8 on the LeBron-like Peyton Manning himself, so the SD-DEN Thursday Night Football game is not a Marquee Matchup. W8 lineups are due Sunday by 1pm. Stay tuned for the W8 SmashBoard later today.

Here's the rest of the RAPID RECAP:

'Twas a pummeling, no two ways about it.

This one lived up to the pre-season and week-long billing, as CRAIG clips arch-rival ANTHONY in a game that goes right down to the wire and has water cooler ramifications all Tuesday long.
