He's at it again! Returning two-time SmashMouth NBA Champ DOUBLEA515 not only toppled #1 overall seed ABCJZ in the Quarterfinals, but outmaneuvered remaining high seed DPATINC123 in Game 1 of the SmashMouth NBA Pioneer League Western Conference Final.
Meanwhile, KEVEKEVE24 and MAIDZILLA looked rather impressive in dumping GLAZ2K and PHITPRO, leaving them to square off in the Eastern Conference Final. Alas for MAIDZILLA, home sweet home appears so as KEVEKEV24 administered a G1 shellacking.
The Outlier boys are busy pining away for the consolation duckets. VCALITRI_01 squeezed past Auto-Pick King RWOUTLIER with a timely late SmashUp substitution and QUIET RIOT KO'd the ever-name-changing ANTIKAON.

The playoffs are thisclose so let's take a look at how things stand entering the regular season final G18, shall we?
First, please note that the #4 and #5 seeds in each conference must play a one game Wild Card Play-In. The NBA Round 1 Game 1 series are the Marquee Matchups, tipping-off Saturday at 3pm, so you'll have plenty of time for SmashUps.
However, Wild Card Play-In winners have only 24 hours for their SmashUp vs. the Conference #1 seeds, so all respective Coaches please prepare for a quick turnaround and tight window. Also note the losers of the Wild Card Play-In are relegated to the Outlier Tourney as the #1 seed in their respective conference bracket and play the respective #4 seed, so all please be aware of the same quick turnaround and tight window.

Welcome to the 2015 SmashMouth NBA Pioneer League! Here's an update on league activities, results, winnings to-date:
So far, we've seen rousing 4-0 starts by ABCJZ (Chris Zeig) and ALDTYL6942 and an epic 1-3 fail by two-time consecutive and only SmashMouth NBA Champ DOUBLEA515 (Anthony Annese). Uneasy rests the crown, indeed!
Note, we had two last minute cancels so unless anyone can quickly find sub Coaches, we'll be a 14 coach league with two running bots for the duration. What this means is you'll likely get a W (or 2 if you're lucky enough to be in their division) but will be dq'ed each game from both Daily Smash and Unique Pick whenever you line up against the ghosts of Richard Bot and Jason ThalappaBot. Also note that any auto-picked players are also dq'ed from Unique Pick. Last, in the event of a tie for Unique Pick, the first tie-breaker is, did the Coach win? If yes, then UP goes to that Coach. Second tie-breaker is high point, third tie-breaker is greatest margin of victory (or least margin of defeat, as the case may be), fourth tie-breaker is... there is none so the reward is split 50/50.
Also, the prize pool is reduced by $200. Here is the payout:

All Round 1 SmashUps and scoring will be done via the app. If you are already registered, please use your existing log-in info (User ID & pw) to access the Fantasy Football app. If you are NOT registered, check your e-mail for your User ID and Password.
If you find yourself in the Fantasy Basketball section, simply click the SmashMouth Fantasy Football logo in the upper right corner. On your Dashboard will be your Round 1 SmashMatch (it's currently labeled "IND #2" but will read "Pioneer League" soon). If you have a Bye a) screw you and b) you won't have anything for now although a placeholder is being created.
There are only 4 games, so the lineups are now 12 total players (we removed 1 RB and 1 LB) and you must have 3 per game. (The app won't let you screw this up! Thank you Lord!)
